Show History 

The first show of the Ardlethan & District Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held in 1911 on the “Police paddock,” a fenced grazing area for police horses. Local men cleared the thick scrub with horses and drays to establish the showground. Early shows prominently featured Clydesdale horses, and many trotters and pacers were ridden under saddle rather than harnessed to gigs.
