Bedgerabong Show

The first Bedgerabong Show was staged in 1949 by the Monwonga-Bedgerabong Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Association. It followed earlier field days conducted by the local Agricultural Bureau, with a gymkhana and dance held to raise funds for the inaugural event. The show became an annual fixture, apart from occasional interruptions due to flooding, and the association later adopted the name Bedgerabong. Exhibits reflect the district’s rural character, including produce, livestock and a variety of community entries. A highlight of the event is the all-breeds champion dog show, held in conjunction with the main show.
