Bingara Show

The Bingara Pastoral and Agricultural Society was formed in 1931 during the Depression, yet quickly established a reputation for strong livestock shows. Its founder and first president was H. Gordon Munro of Keera, with C. Doherty as secretary. Early progress was supported by strong local cooperation, with the racecourse made available as a showground and the ring surveyed by Eustace Deleperanche. The first show, held in March 1931, proved highly successful, attracting excellent entries across horse, cattle, sheep, poultry and pavilion sections.
