Show History 

The Blacktown Show Society was formed in 1918 at the instigation of James Simpson. The first show, held in 1920 at the School of Arts, featured poultry and pigeons, with sideshows and wood-chopping in a nearby paddock. The event moved to the Inglis saleyards in 1921 before a permanent site was secured in 1922, where a trotting track was established.
