Show History
The Camden Haven Show at Kendall grew from a one-day junior farmers’ event for schoolchildren, first held in 1940 with livestock tied to fences around the local school. Organised through the Education Department, it featured entries of produce, sewing, cooking and horticulture. By 1944 the event had moved to the Kendall Sports Ground and evolved into a general show under the Camden Haven Pastoral, Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Society. A permanent showground was later secured and progressively developed.
