Candelo Show

The Candelo Agricultural, Horticultural and Dairy Farmers' Association was formed in 1884, evolving from the earlier horticultural society, with W.J. Lane as inaugural president. A showground was secured that same year. The first show under the new association in 1885 featured a wide range of classes, reflecting the district’s strong agricultural base. Over time, the program expanded significantly, with increasing variety across livestock, produce and community exhibits.
