Dorrigo Show

The Dorrigo & Guy Fawkes Agricultural Society held its first show in 1908 on the Cork family property. Early events centred on horses, dairy cattle and riding, while a farm shed—also used as a church and dance hall—served as the pavilion for cookery, flowers and vegetables. In 1909, 30 acres adjoining the township were dedicated as a showground. After a second show on the Cork property that year, a 10-member committee cleared and fenced the new site, where the first show was held in 1910.
