Guyra Show

The first Guyra show was held in 1904 and was situated roughly where the main township of Guyra now stands. A tent was hired in those days to serve as a Pavilion. A.W. Everett was the first president and remained in that position until 1937. It was around 1912 that the show was moved to the area east of the township, where it is still held. Chinese poplar trees were planted many years ago around the ring area.
