Molong Show

With a population of just 280, including 30 schoolchildren, Molong staged its first agricultural show on May 19, 1864, in a small field behind the Freemasons Hotel. In 1885, part of McGroder Park, now the Central School site, was secured and permanent buildings erected. The society lapsed for several years in the 1890s but was revived in 1897, when attendance reached an estimated 1,700. In 1912.
