Nowra Show

The Shoalhaven Agricultural & Horticultural Association was formed on March 6, 1874, with its first show held in February 1875. The first 12 shows took place on Presbyterian Church land at Greenhills (Terrara), a site difficult to access except by dray or sled. In 1887, the show moved to Nowra, despite opposition from the “Lowlanders.” The show was renowned for its farm and dairy produce, the show has a rich history, including Mrs Hannah Flynn riding 10 miles with a keg of butter in 1881
