Show History
The first show of the Nyngan Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Association was held in 1890, with large entries in the horse, sheep and agricultural sections. Some of the sections of the early shows make strange reading now. Prizes were offered for the best windmill, best "colony of bees", best collection of 100 bricks, best home-made boots and best collection of soap. There were also awards for the best IO gallons of beer in wood and best IO gallons of porter in wood.
