Weethalle Show

The Weethalle Pastoral and Agricultural Society held its first show in August 1935, highlighted by an impressive display of 50 draught horses. Crowds were entertained by around 40 sideshows—comparable to modern-day attractions—while the horse ring reflected the district’s strong working heritage. The show grew steadily with rings featuring quality hacks, hunters and children’s ponies. Early structures, including the Fine Arts and luncheon pavilions, remain in use with ongoing improvements.
